This is the artist’s rendition
of the Luxor in the Desert. This is a unique drawing
as the skies reflect the weather patterns of this last
week. Rain is so rare in Las Vegas hence the dark clouds
in his work. The artist preferred a friendly face for
the “Las Vegas” Sphinx. The light beam on
the tip of the pyramid was made to shine brighter for
Las Vegas. |

The Palms had a month long slot
promotion called “CHANGE IS GOOD”. The word
“GOOD” appeared on the Marquee while the
artist was sketching. The band “3 DOORS DOWN”
was going to be performing at the Palms on February
24, 2005. They are all captured in this painting. The
artist was commenting on the fact that the Palms did
not have enough Palm Trees to go with the theme of the
resort. He put Palm Trees all around it to suit his
vision of the Palms. Coincidentally, when the painting
was finished, the “PALMS” started planting
Palm Trees on the Westside parking lot. As of this writing,
8 Palm Trees have been planted and more are on their
way.

The Artist sees Mandalay Bay as
a resort sitting by an “M” shaped bay. Notice
the “Full Moon” in the sky. You know that
it was a full moon on a rainy and cloudy day in Las
Vegas. It had been raining all week ~ quite unusual
for Las Vegas. |
