This one-day sightseeing expedition highlights the
magnificence of both the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley.
The day gets off to an early start with a narrated aerial
tour to the Grand Canyon. Once at the Grand Canyon National
Park, this tour makes a brief visit to a popular viewpoint
along the South Rim for photo opportunities. The adventure
continues with an aerial tour to Monument Valley to
the Navajo Indian Reservation where the famous John
Wayne movies were filmed. Explore the timeless grandeur
of this beautiful region and its incredible contrasts
as your Navajo Indian tour guide teaches you about his
homeland. Enjoy a Navajo Taco lunch before taking off
on the return aerial tour past Rainbow Bridge and Lake
Powel. After a short fuel stop at the Grand Canyon airport,
this tour concludes with a flight back to Las Vegas.
The tour company will pick you up from most Las Vegas
Hotels. After pickup, you will be flown to the South
Rim of the Grand Canyon, and then transported by motorcoach
to the scenic overlook You will then return to the Canyon
airport to be flown to Monument Valley for a Navajo
Taco Lunch at the famous Gouldings Lodge. During the
tour, you will see spectacular views of Lake Mead, Hoover
Dam, the Colorado River, Southwest deserts, Monument
Valley and the Grand Canyon. You will return to the
Grand Canyon Airport for re-fueling, and return to Las
Vegas.
Transportation:
Depending on the number of passengers, flights to the
Grand Canyon will be made by either a Twin Otter Deluxe
Vistaliner, which holds up to 19 passengers, or the
Fokker F-27, which holds up to 44 passengers. Each plane
comes with a high wing design to provide unobstructed
views, large panoramic windows, Enhanced safety equipment
including TCAS (Traffic Collision Avoidance System)
and GPWS (Ground Proximity Warning System), two qualified
ATP rated pilots flying under the same high qualifications
and standards required by all major airlines, and tour
narrations available in 16 languages. The Fokker F-27
also includes on board flight attendant service and
a lavatory.
